Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the hosted Nothing BOT apps, Nothing BOT Curate and Nothing BOT Comedy, and of the Nothing BOT Server program that connects them to your WhatsApp ("the service"). By signing in or using the demo, you agree to them. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
What the service is
Curate helps open-mic curators sort spot requests they receive on WhatsApp, build lineups and send replies. Comedy helps comics keep a roster of rooms, watch the WhatsApp groups they choose for spot offers, send spot asks to curators and keep track of their spots. The server is the program on your own computer that does the reading and sending. It is open-source software released under the MIT licence; these terms apply to the hosted service, not to your use of the source code.
Access
- Access is invite-only. Administrators decide who may use the service and may remove access at any time.
- You must be at least 18 and must sign in with your own Google account.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure.
The service connects to WhatsApp through whatsapp-web.js, an unofficial WhatsApp Web client. Nothing BOT is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by WhatsApp or Meta. Automated use of WhatsApp may breach WhatsApp's terms and can lead to your number being restricted or banned. The service spaces messages out to keep volume human, but because it uses an unofficial client, you use the WhatsApp connection at your own risk, and you are responsible for complying with WhatsApp's terms.
Your responsibilities
- Use the service only to manage your own shows and spots and the people who contact you about them, or whom you contact about them.
- Don't use it to send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, harassment, or anything unlawful.
- Only import or store other people's contact details where you have a legitimate reason to, and respect their wishes if they ask you to stop contacting them or delete their details.
- Review messages before you send them. You are responsible for what is sent from your WhatsApp account.
- Comedy asks go out from your own WhatsApp, in your name. If you set a room to send its asks automatically, you are responsible for those messages as if you had typed them. Keep your asks polite and few, and stop messaging someone who asks you to.
- Comedy reads only the groups you choose to watch. Only watch groups you are a member of and are allowed to read, and follow each group's rules.
- Don't try to access other users' data, disrupt the service, or get around its security.
Published rosters and shared content
- A roster you publish is visible to every signed-in, approved member, including the curator names, phone numbers and Instagram handles in it. Do not publish someone's phone number unless they are happy for it to be shared, for example because they already advertise it for spot requests. Remove it if they ask.
- Only publish information you believe is accurate, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for what you publish, suggest or share. We may remove content or revoke publishing rights that is inaccurate, abusive or harms others.
- If you co-maintain a roster, you can change it for everyone who follows it. The owner can remove co-maintainers or delete the roster.
- Rosters shared with you are copies. Treat the contact details in them as you would any other, and only use them for asking about spots.
AI suggestions
The service uses AI models to classify messages, read curators' replies to your asks and draft messages. AI can be wrong: it may miss an offer, misread a reply (for example mark a spot as confirmed when it was not), or suggest an unsuitable message. Check its suggestions before acting on them, and confirm a spot with the curator before you rely on it. Spot alerts depend on what others post and on your server being online; they are never a guarantee that a spot exists or is still free.
Your content
You keep ownership of the data you put into the service. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the service for you.
Availability
The service is provided free of charge, as is, and runs on servers that may go offline. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own records of anything important.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, business, or WhatsApp account access, arising from your use of the service.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time and ask for your data to be deleted (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service or other users.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and continuing to use the service means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
